High fructose corn syrup seems to be in every product you pick up off the store shelves these days. People are unknowingly consuming large amounts of this product that is now becoming better known for its destructive properties. There are beginning to be more and more health related issues being linked back to this widely used sweetener. However, people are still in the dark about all the harm something so sweet could be causing us...
It has been indicated that beverages sweetened with HFCS are very well the main source of calories in an average American diet. We cannot help but over consume this product, as it is in everything.
It seems there will be no relief in sight from this awful additive. If you pay attention to what's going into your food, you may be able to avoid some of this high fructose killer. It is not an immediate killer, but one that has hidden its effects until our long term use of it has finally shown just what it can do. Staying away from foods and drink that are saturated in this sweet poison is the first step to being healthier.
